  13. This FKEY opens a window that shows all characters available in the current font (see picture below). Select any character to insert it in the active document.

  38. Know incompatibilities:

  40. GetChar may not recognize the current font if the active application hasn't a font menu in its menu bar (see Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, et Excel).

  42. FKEY Installation
  43.  
  44. There are 2 ways to install this FKEY.
  45.  
  46. • Open the FKEY file with ResEdit and set its type to 'FFIL'. Copy the modified  file into the "Font" folder.  As I have supplied the FKEY, its resource ID number is 5, meaning that you would invoke it using Shift-Command-5.  But if you have other FKEYS, you might need to renumber something to avoid conflicts.

  48. • Use FKEYDragger to install  the FKEY. System 7.5 or later is required.
